Mastery Track

The Crisis of Mastery: Leading Beyond Yourself

“You’ve arrived. You have influence, authority, resources.”

You’ve built something. Led teams. Made an impact.

But something deeper is calling…

This is the season where leadership becomes about what you give, not what you gain. Where your influence shifts from building your own success to building others. Where the question changes from “How do I succeed?” to “What will outlast me?”

This Is For You If:

  • You’re 36+ and have leadership experience but sense there’s a deeper level
  • You’ve achieved success but are asking “what’s it all for?”
  • You want to lead with legacy, not just results
  • You’re ready to mentor, serve, and build others not just yourself
  • You want character-based leadership, not just competency-based management

The Mastery Crisis (Ages 36+)

You’re facing questions that success alone can’t answer:

Your Guide: Dr. Nicholas Okumu

Dr. Nicholas Okumu is an orthopedic oncologist, serial entrepreneur, and leadership developer who has built multiple companies while maintaining a demanding clinical practice at Kenyatta National Hospital.

Background:

  • MD, M.MED (ORTHO), MBA – Orthopedic Oncologist at Kenyatta National Hospital
  • Founded the Orthopedic Oncology Unit at KNH (one of only two orthopaedic oncologists serving Kenya’s 55 million people)
  • Serial entrepreneur: The Bone and Joint Clinic, Jasmine Healthcare, and other ventures
  • Regular columnist for The Star newspaper; published in Devex, Global Health Unfiltered
  • Harvard and University of Washington fellowships in global surgery advocacy
  • Contributed to Kenya’s National Surgical, Obstetric and Anaesthesia Plan

Dr. Okumu’s Journey:

“At 12, I lost my father and became the man of the household—leadership wasn’t optional, it was survival. At 40, after years of building a medical career and multiple businesses, I realized I had succeeded by outworking everyone, but I hadn’t built the character to sustain it. I was exhausted. I was performing. Mastery Track was born from that crisis—it’s the program I wish existed when I was asking those deeper questions about legacy and meaning.”
